Bio

Christine Sanders is a writer and producer based in Los Angeles and New York. As a creative producer, she is the recipient of the 2020 SF Film Rainin Grant and was selected to participate in the 9th edition of the Venice Film Festival Biennale Cinema College for the feature film Madame Negritude. She has received a Cannes Lions, Webby Award, and Digiday Publishing Award for her commercial work. She has been featured in Essence Magazine, Afro Punk, Blavity and Mic. In 2018 she was named a “Rising Star” by Ozy for her digital series Barely Adults.

She is currently an Executive Director at BuzzFeed Inc where she leads a team of writers, producers, and directors who make short and long form content for BuzzFeed and Complex Networks. Prior to that she was the Director of Production at the Wall Street Journal Custom Studios where she oversaw production for branded content. She has worked at MTV Networks and Food Network in various production and development roles. Christine earned her BA in Journalism and Africana Studies from New York University.
