Netflix Cocainenomics Senior Production Manager/Writer
I traveled to Medellin, Colombia with the WSJ. Custom Studios production crew for the Netflix Cocainenomics campaign. Cocainenomics is a co-branded sponsorship between WSJ. Custom Studios and Netflix to promote the hit show Narcos.
For this project I arranged on camera interviews, managed the Colombian crew (fixer, boom operator, security, driver), handled shoot logistics/locations, co-wrote an article, was a Spanish translator, served as the stills photographer, oversaw the production budget and negotiated rates.
Arizona Office of Tourism campaign Production Manager/Field Producer

I supervised video production in Chicago for the Arizona Office of tourism campaign "Inspired by Arizona." The tourism videos were the first of their kind for WSJ. Custom Studios and featured local Chicago street artists who art battled on stage in front of a live audience.
My duties for the Chicago shoot included managing the production crew, maintaining the production budget, vetting locations, creating production timelines, providing creative input during production, and interviewing on-camera subjects.
Lead creative producer who wrote scripts, casted talent, and field produced short form on-air promos for mtvU's 'Against Our Will' and 'Half of Us' campaigns.
The "Against our Will" campaign was nominated for an Emmy.
I supervised 'Food Truck Revolution,' a 30-minute special for Food Network/Cooking Channel that highlighted the best food trucks in the nation. I supervised all aspects of production including: vetting talent, proposing segment ideas, vetting the budget, managing freelance production crew, providing rough and final cut notes, selecting graphics, and approving voice over artists.

I was the lead producer and writer for the food, culture, and music magazine. I copyedited and wrote engaging articles including "Caribbean Canarsie" for the magazine. I also served as the primary production manager between the editors and foreign correspondents ensuring that articles were properly vetted and uploaded to the website.
2014 Gold Award:America's Best Travel Journalism Site by the The Society of American Travel Writers.
I wrote and reported about an edible school yard at P.S. 216 in Gravesend, Brooklyn. The school yard was funded by Alice Water's Chez Pannise as a way to teach children the fundamentals of the farm to table movement.
